Understanding Change

Change is a process of transitioning people from a current state to a future state.

Organisations don’t change, people do and more often than not (depending on the size and scope of your change project) organisations need specialist support to help engage and support the people through this transitionary process.

ACTIVATION

Always in focus are the steps you’ll need to take to “activate” your positive change outcomes.  We start with the end in mind – what do you want to achieve?  What is your desired future state? What problems are you needing to solve?  Then we plot the path.  How will you implement the change? When the distance to change is too big, we chunk it down. We explore the psychology behind habit formation to ensure new changes stick. Whatever your change initiative is – personal, team, organisational – you’ll be clear on how to activate it to ensure you get the impact you’re after.

Yet so often the change management component is mistaken for project management. Change management is not about ticking milestones off – it is about the people side of change.

Transitioning hearts and minds to engage in the process that moves them from the way they are currently working/doing/being – to the desired future state.

There are frameworks and technical processes that help guide this work, along with a deep understanding of change psychology and human behaviour. The application of these techniques helps reduce the time your people spend in the “flight zone” and in productivity decline.
